Ree Drummond — better known as “The Pioneer Woman” — is coming to Omaha.
Drummond will be in town to promote her latest cookbook, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays.” The book includes recipes for a wide variety of holidays as well as do-ahead tips and recipes that are appropriate for non-holidays, too.
Her book signing is at 5 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Baker's on 3614 Twin Creek Dr. in Bellevue.

Raise a slice — it's on sale — to help Frank's celebrate 10th anniversary
Frank's Pizzeria has been serving up its New York style pies in Omaha for 10 years, and its celebrating the milestone this weekend with pizza and beer specials all day long.
This Saturday, large cheese pizzas will be $10 and cheese slices, domestic bottles and Peroni draws will all be $1 each.

Dinner features three Italian wines rarely seen locally
Dante Ristorante is celebrating the harvest season with a wine dinner.
Chef Nick Strawhecker will serve early season crops, including apples, squash and pumpkins along with three Italian wines rarely seen in Nebraska at the Monday dinner.
The wines, from three regions of Italy, will be paired with three courses. Representatives from the Italian Vine will be at the restaurant to talk about the wines. Drink your way around the world at Al Fresco event
Le Voltaire is having its annual Al Fresco Wine event this month.
The dinner features more than 30 wines from around the world, a free wine glass for tasting, food and prizes. The dinner takes place outdoors and is $40 per person. New Bakers meltaway flavor to roll out at chocolate fest
Bakers Candies, based in Greenwood, Neb., will introduce a new flavor of its signature chocolate meltaway candy at next month's Great Omaha Chocolate Festival.
The festival, sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women, will feature more than 40 vendors with chocolatey, sweet samples and items for sale. Participating businesses include Bakers Candies, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Smej's Snacks and More, Pettit's Pastry, Hiland Dairy, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Chocolaterie Stam, Kona Ice and Stories Coffeehouse.
Vendors will be offering candy, popcorn, brownies, cupcakes, cookies, cheesecake bites, cream puffs, caramel apples, numerous flavors of mini bundt cakes, 20 flavors of chocolate shaved ice, chocolate drinks, breads and yogurt as well as stationery imprinted with chocolate candy.
Proceeds from the festival benefit the council's community service programs.
The event takes place from noon-5 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Embassy Suites La Vista Conference Center, 12520 Westport Parkway. Admission for children age 10 and younger is $3 and includes three samples; admission for children age 11 and older and adults is $5 and includes five free samples. Patrons can purchase tickets for additional samples and vendors will be selling products.
