WATER4HAITI: The 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at First United Methodist Church in Auburn, Neb., will include a presentation by a central Nebraska group volunteering in Haiti. Roger Hoffman and Bob Easton of Water4Haiti will talk about drilling wells, repairing pumps and other efforts to provide water to Haitians. The organization traces its origin to the work of Chuck Larsen of Minden, Neb., who has been volunteering in Haiti since 1984. After seeing women and children walking miles with 5-gallon buckets to get water, he recruited Nebraska farmers and others familiar with well drilling to assist him. Hoffman and Easton also speak at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lyceum on Main Street in Brownville, Neb. Both Sunday presentations are free and open to the public. Information: http://water4haiti.com.
