TwitterOne person has been been arrested in connection with the death of a 34-year-old Valentine, Neb., woman.
Shannon Castaway was found dead Tuesday in her home in Valentine, Cherry County Attorney Eric Scott said Wednesday.
Scott said Castaway suffered multiple stab wounds and that her death is being treated as a homicide.
He said the death “seems to have grown out of a domestic dispute.”
Scott declined to name the person being held in the Cherry County Jail.
He said “a person of interest” also was in custody but not under arrest.
The homicide was the first in the north-central Nebraska town of 2,500 in at least a dozen years, Scott said.
