Rye and the love of his life, little sis, Paige.

'When I grow up ...'

Yesterday, my son said he was going to marry his sister when he grows up.

How cute is that?

Rye is 4 1/2. His sister, Paige, is 9 1/2 months.

Obviously, Rye doesn't really know what that means or understand why he can't do that. And don't worry, I'm sure the fact that he ever said out loud that he wanted to marry his sister when he grows up will panic him to no end when he's old enough to know what getting married actually means.

This, today, though, makes me smile. How preciously innocent are our babies?

I seem to find new ways to love them each and every day.

It was literally yesterday that my 3-year-old told me he wanted to marry his cousin. I am not too worried yet as he also wants to marry about 5 girls in his preschool class. At least Rye is a "one woman guy" for now!
