What to watch

'Extraordinary Measures' fine for kids

Extraordinary Measures (PG) This disease-of-the-week weeper is fine for kids, content-wise, but probably too talky to keep pre-teens and tweeners focused. Stars Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser. 2.5 stars

To Save a Life (PG-13) Excellent acting and production values in this Christian film about a high school basketball star who rethinks his life choices after a childhood best friend he abandoned commits suicide. A little glossy, but the messages about hazing and peer pressure are good for kids to hear. 2.5 stars.

Legion (R) Awful reviews and an R rating dog this story of an archangel trying to save humanity from the wrath of God.

The Tooth Fairy (PG) Silly comedy finds hockey player Dwayne Johnson stuck playing the title role. Middling, sickly sweet stuff, but mostly harmless, as Julie Andrews teaches the Rock not to ruin kids' dreams.
