Boredom Busters

Oh, the friendship pin

What you need:

Standard-sized safety pins, silver or gold
Small, colorful beads

What you do:

Simple. "String" the beads on the open pin. Leave enough room to close the pin again. Be creative! Make one to coordinate with different outfits.

Attach finished pins to your shoelaces.

Be the envy of every other 80s child.

Whoever thought of this is brilliant. We should all meet at a roller skating rink sometime soon too.

We must be kindred spirits, Heidi. Let's so totally go skating. And wear friendship pins on our laces.

But you've forgotten.... the different colors of beads mean different thing!

Love this, maybe I'll start the trend again here in Fruita, Colorado!

Isn't there a trick to getting the beads on the opposite side of the safety pin from the side that opens?? I vaguely remember that. Otherwise, it's difficult to attach it to shoelaces and clothing. Anyone remember?
