Memory - make your own game

Collect the lids from cans of concentrated orange juice. Or use squares of felt, seashells, baby food lids, pop bottle caps, etc.

Cut out pictures from magazines, or make your own (or have your child make his/her own!). Or use pictures of family and friends.

Be sure to have a match for each picture (so two of each object).

Glue the pictures to one side of the lids.

Make a set of 15 (or 8 or 10, if your children are younger or their attention spans for board games are shorter).

To play, line up the lids, picture side down and take turns flipping two over to find a match.

Have fun!

My daycare loves this and it will keep them busy for hours. Fill a bowl with snow, add sprinkles, food coloring and stir. They can even eat it if they want. For real kicks sometimes we add a toy army man or play find the super ball. (Of course with wooden spoons) I had a bag of suckers and each child had their own bowl of snow, they would stir with their sucker and take a lick. They had a blast. Enjoy!
