Boredom Busters

Toy book

For: 3- to 5-year-olds

What you'll need: Paper, stapler, toy catalogs or ads, scissors, glue.

Make a blank book for your child by fastening several pieces of white paper together (staple or punch holes and secure with yarn). Depending on the age of the child, the parent or child can print “My Toy Book” on the front cover. Look through store catalogs and toy ads with your child and cut out (good practice using scissors) pictures of toys they like. Help them glue the picture on the pages of the Toy Book. Let your child “read” the book to you or other members of the family.
